CHALLENGE

Nexus Business Space provides work spaces to let in Scotland's largest cities. Work habits and behaviours changed dramatically with the pandemic in 2019 and workspaces and office buildings were impacted heavily in the months to follow. Nexus have a forward thinking approach and we were challenged to revitalise their offices in Glasgow to appeal to the post pandemic workforce.

APPROACH

Wellbeing is at the heart the Nexus brand and was at the forefront of our design. The environment was created with the home at the heart of the concept. It was purposely designed to feel spacious and airy giving people confidence going back to a shared office space. Implementing biophillic design with planting and greenery adds a calm ambience and assists with air purification.

 

Materials were selected for their natural and sustainable qualities adding a pureness with natural bamboo, cork and plastics made from recycled materials such as old electrical cabling adding a feel good factor. The space was planned with socialising at its core to reconnect people after a period of isolation and bright and impactful colour palettes were used to invigorate and inspire.
