After a hit takeaway in the city centre, Matto wanted a proper sit-down home in Morningside. Two floors of a listed building. Twelve weeks to make it happen.

Matto means crazy in Italian, so we let the name lead while respecting the building’s original details. The centrepiece is a wood-fired oven wrapped in black gloss mosaic tiles: part pizza oven, part disco ball.

Concept to handover took 11 weeks, just in time for the Christmas trade.
