Across the road from a Leith library, a café-bar was asked to become something bigger: a proper local. The kind of place people come back to for the company as much as the drinks.

The story starts with an imagined librarian with a love of books and a good whisky. Rich timber, aged leather banquettes, dark tiles, library shelving and low lighting turn that character into a room.

The layout lets people settle, gather and linger at any hour, close enough for conversation without ever feeling designed.

No theatre. Just a good story and a seat to hear it.
