Vault City Brewing—Scotland’s leading modern sour-beer producer known for its vibrant, fruit-forward beers asked us to design a standout brand home for their Portobello taproom. We tansformed a simple venue into a bold, immersive space that captures the brand’s inventive spirit and amplifies its local roots.

Our design leans into Vault City’s edgy, playful identity. With gothic-industrial details set against moody, contemporary tones, the venue reflects their daring, experimental attitude. Custom illustrations and neon accents bring personality and energy, complemented by thoughtfully integrated wayfinding and signage that enhances both brand storytelling and user experience.

Delivered on a tight schedule, the project seamlessly assembled a skilled team of artists, signwriters and fit-out contractors. The result was a visually arresting taproom that not only honours Vault City’s modern sour legacy but also feels warm, welcoming, and unmistakably part of Portobello’s independent scene.
