Bad Hombre Group

Bad Hombre Group asked us to transform a stark white unit in Edinburgh’s student district into an alternative dive bar with character, attitude and authenticity.

Working to a tight budget and a four-week programme, we embraced a sustainable, resourceful approach - upcycling, recycling, and reusing materials wherever possible. Inspired by punk and rock ’n’ roll culture, we layered the space with wild-posted gig flyers, graffiti by local street artists, and a mix of raw industrial elements with tactile, vintage finishes.

The result is a venue that feels like it’s lived a little. Gritty, immersive, and instantly at home in its student neighbourhood. The project was delivered quickly and cost-effectively without compromising creativity.
